The homeowner of this project said it best:
“Chad and crew installed a 25′ steel beam across the main floor of our mid mod home so we could remove all walls. It was a daunting task and they achieved it with grace and craftsmanship. We’re very impressed by the service and quality of HBRE and plan to use them again for remodeling.”
Here is a rundown of the process it took to get this new beam in place:
✅ Demo nonstructural components
✅ Determine best way to get beam into the house
✅ Get beam into house and placed under intended location
✅ Build temporary support walls
✅ Remove structural wall(s)
✅ For flush beam applications, cut out joists where beam will be placed
✅ Add solid blocking below new columns to transfer load to footing/foundation
✅ Raise beam into place
✅ Install columns
✅ Hang joists off beam (for flush beam applications)
✅ Proceed to Party – New Open Space, New Home!
