Dave’s home construction experience began as a self- employed carpenter and later, as a project manager with HBRE. As a project manager, he completed nearly 100 projects with HBRE. In 2021, Dave and his two partners— both project managers—took over the company. He currently manages Sales and Operations and is likely the first person you meet at HBRE. Fun fact: Prior to working at HBRE, Dave fought forest fires for the Forest and Park Services.
While working to obtain his Civil Engineering degree at the University of Minnesota, Adam spent his summers building houses. He then started a handyman business in 2009 and later joined HBRE as its first hire. In 2021, he jumped at the opportunity to run the company with his fellow HBRE project managers. He currently manages projects for HBRE and loves seeing the daily progress and production of his customers’ designs come to life.
Chad, a 30+ year veteran of construction, has done just about everything when it comes to building and remodeling homes. Building and creatively constructing improved spaces for the home is his passion. The only thing he loves more than building homes is building relationships with his clients. A self-described tool junkie, his experience and arsenal of tools allows him to create solutions to unforeseeable challenges common to remodeling.

Home remodeling and construction can be both intimidating and challenging. Rest assured that while you may be new to home building and remodeling, we are not. Having successfully completed several hundred projects, HBRE has compiled a substantial amount of design-build remodel experience over the years. We are continuously striving to refine our craft, improve our processes, and optimize our customer value proposition. Additionally, it is our constant desire to do well by the customers who trust us with their homes and, in part, lives. After all, the homes we live in can impact our individual, family, and financial well-being for many years to come. Home remodeling is complicated. Although the work is very familiar, the circumstances are always new. By nature, all projects are custom. Your design preferences, your priorities, your budget, your home…everything is unique to you.
HBRE’s objective is that, together, we find satisfaction in both the results and each step along the way. So, amid the complexity and custom requirements, we follow a simple process:
The discussions have to start at some point so, we might as well meet at the job site (your home). We’ll discuss what it is you want to accomplish. HBRE will get a chance to learn a little about you. You’ll get a chance to learn a little about us.
HBRE creates a price offer to design your project based upon what we have discussed. The larger the project, the more time we will spend together during the Design Engagement discussing concepts, creating drawings, and making decisions.

We measure the existing spaces and create the drawings. Then we discuss concepts and layouts. Once we land on a concept layout that you love we further focus on the materials, fixtures and finishes (i.e. selections) that will fill the spaces.
At the end of Design Engagement you are presented with a proposal package consisting of an Estimate, Drawings and the Estimate-referencing Allowance-based bids gathered from suppliers and subcontractors. If the offer is acceptable, we move to contract.

Once you have formally agreed to the contract we spend the following few weeks to place material orders, line-up subcontractors and build-out the job schedule. The availability of the materials and people required to complete the job determines the job schedule.
This is the construction phase where we tear it down as necessary and then build it backup anew. We demo. We build. We coordinate. As we progress, your remodel design comes to life before our eyes.
